My name is Jeff and I write modern fantasy.
We have some things in common, you and I. Like you, I’m attracted to stories that reveal the extraordinary circumstances that hide in the shadow of ordinary life. Like you, I discovered long ago that “ordinary” is only a thin veneer, that once you’ve scratched the surface, you’ll unearth strange exotic worlds that have lain under our noses for eons, waiting for us to stumble on them by accident.

Love your short stories posted on the blog. I will surely read your books someday soon. 🙂
Thank you so much! 🙂
Came across after reading a post flagged by Christian Mihai. The story I read was fabulous. No doubt about it. You are an incredibly talented writer.
Thank you! 😀
Hi Jeff, thanks for coming by my blog so I could meet you. Your passion for writing shines through in your bio and I can’t wait to read more of your posts. Cheers from a like-minded blogger in Australia.
So inspiring ! Hope writing can be your full-time job soon 😉
Thank you! I would love to. Maybe someday… 🙂
I’m glad to have come across your blog (via Cristian Mihai). Like the others above, I like your bio. I was also impressed with opening of The Others so I’ve just pre-ordered the Kindle edition.
Christopher, thank you very much for the kind words! 🙂 Please let me know what you think of the book when you finish reading. I hope you enjoy it.
“I’ll write anyway, whether I have an audience of one million, one thousand, one hundred, or one. In the end, I write because it’s what I was made to do. Anything else is icing on the cake. Whether I die having made a living through my stories or through a more “ordinary” job, I will die a writer.”
ABSOLUTELY! You hit the nail on the head here!
I wandered over from the Christian Mihai reblog, although I’ve been following for a little while. Just introducing myself!
Thanks for stopping by and introducing yourself! Your encouragement means a lot 🙂
Hi Jeff. Wondered if you’d like to take part in a writing challenge? It’s writing without the letter E. If you’d like to join in here’s the link: https://kyrosmagica.wordpress.com/2015/06/19/writing-challenge-allergic-to-the-letter-e-grit-a-giant-quandary/
Hi Jeff nice to find your blog today, great sentiments. Like you I intend to carry on writing regardless. So following your blog….
Thank you! 🙂 I just followed yours as well. I look forward to hearing more about your own writing journey.
Thanks Jeff, appreciate the follow.
Hi Jeff, I like your message 🙂
Thanks Nina 🙂
Also enjoyed your short story, definitely my type of fantasy. What we see is SO not everything that is happening in the universe, in other dimensions, etc. Thanks for bringing that cool thought to life in The Sign, and sending it to me! You have great taste in books, and a good knack for matching that style. 🙂 Take care and looking forward to seeing what else you do.
Thanks, Ashley!
Hi Jeff!
Finally had the opportunity to visit your blog. I just wanted to stop by and say thank you for visiting my blog! It’s always good to find someone who loves reading Neil Gaiman! =)
Thanks for stopping by, Connie! I feel the same way. Gaiman’s one of my all-time heroes. It’s nice to meet others who enjoy his writing like I do.
Hello Jeff, thanks so much for stopping by and reading my review on Coraline.
Your bio is the best I’ve ever read, and I can tell simply by that, that you have a great talent for writing. I have no doubts that you will succeed in making it your profession (even if it’s a second one – because let’s face it, royalties don’t pay the big bucks).
I’ve subscribed and I look forward to reading more of your posts.
All the best
~ CiSu (Jess)
Jess, thank you! That means a lot to me. I’ve actually been feeling really discouraged for a while. I sometimes wonder if anybody cares about what I write, or if I’m just writing to a vacuum. Comments like this encourage me a great deal 🙂
Aww well always glad to lend encouragement where needed! Easy as it is when it comes to someone as talented as yourself.
Even if you do write just for yourself, never feel like it’s not worth it, you, are the most important person in your live. Enjoy what you love, no matter what.
Hi Jeff – thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. Checked out your blog as well. Very nice. Looking forward to seeing future posts. BTW – enjoyed your flash fiction.
Thanks, Dave!
